Mortal Kombat: Legacy – Episode 6

True to form, as soon as I post the last episode a new episode is released. And if you were having doubts about the series from the last 2-parter, prepare to have your faith renewed. While this episode is a little light on the action, it’s a great look into this new gritty world of Mortal Kombat brought to us by Kevin Tancharoen. Don’t take my word for it.

Mortal Kombat: Legacy 06 – Raiden

That was freakin awesome. While I’m sure most people are so used to Christopher Lambert’s Raiden that this might be hard to see, I think it was really cool. A great way of bringing the mysticism of Raiden’s character down to earth, making it believable.

Oh. Hello there.

It also gives us one of our first introductions to the Mortal Kombat tournament. Yes, it’s been mentioned in previous episodes, but we clearly know that Raiden has arrived on Earth to join the tournament and save the world. It’s a shame that we more than likely won’t be able to see the tournament this season as there are only 4 episodes left and still lots of characters to introduce, but I’m holding out hope for a second season.

After the Kitana and Mileena episodes, I think people were a little put off from the series, but with the return of what made the series great up to that point, I can assume that fans are back on board, at least this one is. I mean, how awesome does he look in the sugegasa (Asian conical hat)?

So we’ve been shown Jax, Sonya Blade, Kano, Johnny Cage, Kitana, Mileena, Raiden, Shao Kahn has made an appearance along with Queen Sindel and Baraka, Shang Tsung showed up briefly, Stryker featured heavily in the first 2-parter. We know Scorpion and Sub-Zero will be making an appearance. My question is who else do you want to appear in Mortal Kombat: Legacy?
