Red Band Trailer for Seth MacFarlane’s ‘Ted’!

Chances are if you are a 20-something fun individual you have at one point or another enjoyed a good session of Family Guy. If you know Family Guy then I would wager your favorite characters are either Peter, Brian, or Stewie. So you will probably be pretty excited to hear that Seth MacFarlane’s new film Ted finally has a trailer out, which is Red band. That means NSFW, people. Ted stars Mark Wahlberg and Mila Kunis (shut up, Meg) and of course, Seth MacFarlane as the voice of Ted.

So what the hell is Ted all about? Here’s the official synopsis:

Family Guy creator Seth MacFarlane brings his boundary-pushing brand of humor to the big screen for the first time as writer, director and voice star of Ted.  In the live action/CG-animated comedy, he tells the story of John Bennett, a grown man who must deal with the cherished teddy bear who came to life as the result of a childhood wish…and has refused to leave his side ever since.

Pretty much every adolescent boys wish turned on its head and infused with ridiculous hilarity. Even if your not a fan of Family Guy I’m sure there will be something in this film to appeal to your sensibilities. Or not. I guess that depends on how cool you think you are. I know you probably just want to see the trailer but I like to make you wait, so check out a couple of pics from the movie first.

Good times
Who hasn’t been in this situation?

Okay, enough is enough. Let’s check out the trailer:

Hilarious. I tried to count how many white trash names Wahlberg rattled off there but wow. This looks good to me, despite the obvious similarities in the relationship between John and Ted and Peter and Brian. I think it’ll be important to try and distance Family Guy from Ted to really appreciate the movie. And who else is loving Mark Wahlberg in comedic roles?

And say hi to your mother for me…
