Herald: Lovecraft And Tesla Teaming Up For The Small Screen

The rights to Action Lab Entertainment’s comic series Herald: Lovecraft and Tesla have been acquired by Romark Entertainment, in partnership with Markerstone Pictures as a possible television series.

Herald, created by writer John Reilly and artists Tom Rogers and Dexter Weeks, “is an alternate universe story in which a time-traveling Nikola Tesla teams up with writer H.P. Lovecraft and other historical figures to save the world from various cosmic horrors.”

It seems no matter what comes out in the world of collectibles, there is always something on the horizon that is ready to blow you away. Grizzly Spotlight: The Planet Of The Apes

Take a closer look at The Planet Of The Apes from 1968. A film that posed a number of philosophical, sociopolitical and culturally relevant questions in an allegorical science fiction epic that spanned several sequels, television series, animated programs, and present day reboots.

Consider the year in which The Planet Of The Apes was released, 1968. The turbulent years of the seventies were just about to hit while the civil rights movements were in full swing (as evidenced by the riots in Detroit). Here comes this movie, based on Pierre Boulle’s 1964 novel where astronaut/journalist Ulysse (anyone familiar with Greek mythology should be rolling their eyes) lands on a planet inhabited by apes who have comparable technological advances. It was the film’s screenwriters and producers who felt compelled to set the ape civilization in a more primitive, shantytown environment and integrate relevant issues of the times.

Hiya Toys Release Awesomely Designed 1:18 Scaled Alien Figures

Collectibles. We here at Grizzly Bomb love them, and as a previous collector myself I am always on the lookout for some awesome new plastic creation that (if I cannot buy), I can at least talk about at some length. So it was pretty fantastic to come across Hiya Toys, a company that specializes in small 1:18 inch figures of some characters you may recognize.

The companies brief pretty much tells you that they are ready for business, and they’re not fooling around. This can certainly be seen in the work they have produced so far.
