Betty & Veronica: Hughes’ New Series Boasts A Zillion Awesome Variant Covers

Comics legend Adam Hughes is set to both script and illustrate a brand-new series about America’s original Frenemies, Betty & Veronica. Betty & Veronica #1 hits stores on July 20, and will not only feature a beautiful regular cover by Hughes himself, but 23 more spectacular versions of Riverdale’s best-known beauties (and a blank sketch cover which may or may not be beautiful and may or may not feature Betty and/or Veronica. Cuz, you know, it’s blank.)

An elegant weapon from a more civilized age, the lightsaber has fascinated fans and inspired scientists, but will the Jedi here on Earth ever have a chance to wield one?

The premiere of the ultimate weapon of the future (past?) in the 1977 film Star Wars changed backyard battles around the world, transforming everything from wrapping paper tubes to broom handles into glowing, vwooming, bone slicing sabers. Surely this was something science would solve by the time you reached adulthood, but alas, it was not.

American Gods Assembling Impressive Cast List

A lot has changed since we last talked about the television adaptation of Neil Gaiman’s American Gods

So way back in 2011, when news broke of Gaiman’s novel heading to TV screens everywhere, the story involved the need to write more books, six seasons worth of show, and you needing an HBO subscription. In the years to follow HBO brought in several writers to adapt the project, before eventually abandoning it in 2014. In 2015, Starz announced that they had now picked up the rights and would have the first season out sometime next year. In charge of things are co-showrunners Bryan Fuller (Hannibal) and Michael Green (Heroes).

Kingsman: The Golden Circle – More Casting Announced!

Just last week we talked about the upcoming Kingsman sequel and the poster they had released that day, which heavily indicates a certain character, believed to be deceased after the events of the first movie, is in fact returning.

It would seem that all the surviving characters from the first movie are signed back on for this one, and as we talked about last week, Julianne Moore and Halle Berry have joined the cast as well. Moore as the new villain “Poppy”, and Halle as the head of the Kingman’s American counterpart – the Statesman. At that time, we knew that Berry’s character (Ginger) would be joined by one of her agents, a cowboy-type named Jack. Well, now we know who is playing Jack;
