If you haven’t yet seen it, Penny Dreadful started a bit slow, but has since proved itself to be very compelling genre television. The performances, beautiful costuming and sets, creepy atmosphere, and highly charged sexuality make for a potent potion. The show is a must for fans of Gothic literature.
