Final Jessica Jones Trailer, First Luke Cage Teaser for Marvel’s NetFlix Lineup

You will know Jessica Jones. Or at least be intrigued enough to watch the new Netflix series which debuts this Friday. The publicity machine over at the streaming channel earlier this month unleashed a barrage of stills of the titular character as well as many of the series’ cast. These include allies and friends like Trish Walker (played by Rachel Taylor), and the villainous Purple Man, who’s slickly portrayed by David Tennant of Doctor Who fame.

Doctor Strange: Nemesis, Teacher, and Possible Love Interest All Cast

We reported earlier that actor Benedict Cumberbatch is donning the cape of the sorcerer supreme Doctor Stephen Strange in the movie of the same name. Now it’s been announced whom will be joining him in the Doctor Strange movie next November.

His Dark Materials to be Adapted into Eight-Part BBC TV Series

His Dark Materials series is a trio of young adult fantasy books published between 1995 through 2007. Written by British author Philip Pullman, the series reached American shores as The Golden Compass (originally Northern Lights), The Subtle Knife, and The Amber Spyglass. The books proved to be a hit worldwide with nearly 17.5 million copies have sold at the time of this writing. In 2007, a film based on the first book hit theaters. The trilogy has also been adapted to audio, a radio series, and even into a play.

New Star Trek Series to Stream in January 2017

When is Star Trek coming back to television?

The question has been raised since the last series, Star Trek Enterprise, ended its run in 2005 after four seasons. And the question not only gets raised each time the movies hit the big screen, but when that other space opera continues to Force its way into households, first through the Clone Wars animated series and currently via Rebels.

Ex-Avenger Mantis May be Preying in Guardians of the Galaxy Sequel

Let’s be honest here. Guardians of the Galaxy was a monster of a sleeper hit. The so-called “Space Avengers” surprised everyone, taking third place among the highest grossing films in 2014 with nearly $775 million worldwide. So interest in a sequel by fans and the press is nearly as high as that other space opera set in a galaxy far, far away.
