This morning was revealed some information on the upcoming 24th chapter in the James Bond movie series. And with it, Spectre.
For those not familiar, SPECTRE (SPecial Executive for Counter-intelligence, Terrorism, Revenge and Extortion) is the organization that 007 often squared off against in many of the early films. The organization is headed by one of Bond’s greatest adversaries in Ernst Stavro Blofeld. The current prevailing thought is that Blofeld will appear in the new movie, played Christoph Waltz, despite his character’s name currently being listed as ‘Oberhauser.’ (Coincidentally, this is also the name of Bond’s ski instructor who is assassinated by Octopussy’s father.) Roger Moore also seems convinced of Blofeld’s appearance too…
So Blofeld is back!

In addition to Waltz, we learned about some more of the cast today as well. In a role being compared to classic villains like Oddjob and Jaws, Dave Bautista (Guardians of the Galaxy) will play ‘Mr. Hinx.’ Given his size, and recently found film popularity, we are hopeful that Bautista will be given a memorable character to work with. Aside from the villains, we also get our Bond girls; Monica Bellucci (Tears of the Sun) and French actress Léa Seydoux (Inglourious Basterds). Bellucci is a little older than your average Bond girl, but at 50 years of age, still looks absolutely stunning.
Additional casting includes a favorite of Sherlock fans – Andrew Scott, who is better known by many of us as the BBC’s Moriarty. He is set to play the character ‘Denbigh’ at MI6, who I can only assume is a traitor or double agent based solely on casting. He’ll be surrounded there by returning faces like Ralph Fiennes (M), Ben Whishaw (Q), Naomie Harris (Moneypenny), and Rory Kinnear (Tanner).
So, we’ve got cast out of the way, girls and villains. We know the title is SPECTRE, but what about the car. James Bond has to have a cool car, and no surprise – he does. The Aston Martin DB10, designed just for 007.
For a better look at the car, the cast, and to hear from director Sam Mendes, you can check out full announcement video below. Let us know what you think about the title and the cast and the car in the comment section or on our Facebook page.
