The Flash

The CW: The Flash Finale, iZombie Season 2, and DC’s Legends of Tomorrow!

The CW has totally done right by fans of DC’s superheroes lately.

The Flash, Green Arrow, Atom and more have enjoyed some great TV time as they save the world. So much so that the network has decided to pick up the upcoming The Flash/Arrow spinoff series, officially titled DC’s Legends of Tomorrow.

The synopsis for this all-star DC Comics series gives us a brief look into how it will unfold:

When heroes alone are not enough… the world needs legends. Having seen the future, one he will desperately try to prevent from happening, time-traveling rogue Rip Hunter is tasked with assembling a disparate group of both heroes and villains to confront an unstoppable threat – one in which not only is the planet at stake, but all of time itself. Can this ragtag team defeat an immortal threat unlike anything they have ever known?

DC’S LEGENDS OF TOMORROW stars Victor Garber (“The Flash,” “Alias”); Brandon Routh (“Arrow,” “Superman Returns”); Arthur Darvill (“Doctor Who”); Caity Lotz (“Arrow”); Ciarra Renee (“Pippin”); Franz Drameh (“Edge of Tomorrow”); with Dominic Purcell (“The Flash,” “Prison Break”); and Wentworth Miller (“The Flash,” “Prison Break”). Based on the characters from DC Comics, DC’S LEGENDS OF TOMORROW is from Bonanza Productions Inc. in association with Berlanti Productions and Warner Bros. Television, with executive producers Greg Berlanti (“The Flash,” upcoming “Pan”), Marc Guggenheim (“Eli Stone,” “Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters”), Andrew Kreisberg (“The Flash,” “Eli Stone,” “Warehouse 13”) and Sarah Schechter (“The Flash,” upcoming “Pan”).

So it looks like the total lineup for this series is as follows – The Flash, Green Arrow, Rip Hunter, Hawkgirl, Jay Jackson (Static Shock? Cyborg?), Heat Wave and Captain Cold. Speaking of Hawkgirl, actress Ciara Renee will be donning the golden mask and mace on the season finale of The Flash:

So did you guys happen to watch the “Grodd Lives” episode of The Flash? An extra scene that was deleted from that particular episode has been released by EOnline and it provides some clarity on a question we’ve wondered about – So who exactly takes care of these evil meta-humans?

And to finish of all of this awesome CW/DC news, we’re happy to announce that iZombie has been renewed for a 2nd season!

Now, if only The CW would #SaveConstantine …
