Batman to Add Police Racism to Long List of Controversial Stories

Batman fighting – and beating up – the Gotham police is well-known to long-time comic book fans and even the general public via the movies and other media. But starting in Batman issue #44, the Dark Knight has to unclench his fists as he reflects how both the superhero and philanthropist Wayne personas may have added the all-too real-world problems of racism, police brutality, poverty and societal clash to the fictional city.

More Than 25 Years Later, The Warriors Return to Coney Island

Last weekend, on famous Coney Island in New York, there was  a reunion as stars of the 1979 cult classic showed up at The Warriors Coney Island Reunion for a special screening of the movie at the Surf Pavilion.  Among those in attendance were Cleon, Cochise, Vermin, Fox and Swan.

20,000 Leagues Under The Sea: Bryan Singer Announces His Next Project

We’ve been covering a lot of Bryan Singer news since his triumphant return to the X-franchise with last years X-Men: Days of Future Past.

He is following that up with the upcoming X-Men: Apocalypse, which promises to end the current trilogy started with Matthew Vaughn’s X-Men: First Class by continuing to examine the beginning of the X-Men. So with Apocalypse nearing completion Singer wasted no time in announcing his next directing gig, which is not X-related… or is it?
