The Misadventures of Rick and Morty

Apparently I am not the only person suffering from Rick and Morty depression (thank god), as the YouTube channel KungFuDork Studios has created a stop motion episode that is indeed voiced by Justin Roiland himself for the ultimate Rick and Morty authenticity.

Whatever this is, I want more of it. It’s got that Robot Chicken vibe, except I don’t hate it, and in 1 minute and 30 seconds it’s got everything that makes a Rick and Morty fan love Rick and Morty. It’s just so ridiculous. I mean Morty gets this weird purple gloop thing that initially is chill with Rick for Morty to keep. Then it turns into this weird veiny ball sack that farts and that’s not even the conflict of the short anymore! Now they’re in a non-structure Gumby episode that they can’t get out of.

The stop motion is fantastic. I actually really appreciate stop motion if for nothing else but the sheer amount of effort and time it takes. Add that with my favorite show? Perfect.

I’m glad to see how well Rick and Morty is doing seeing as they did that Carl’s Jr/Hardee’s plug a little while ago, and people are still screaming for the new season.

Look, even the Weeknd is on the same page as the rest of us…
