Suicide Squad’s New Trailer to Air During Justice League Special on the CW

The CW might as well just be renamed DC TV with all the shows and DC universe things they’ve got going on. Not that I am complaining at all. The best part about the abundance of the DC universe on the CW is that we get a time slot in advance for the new trailer of Suicide Squad set to release in August of 2016.

On January 19, at 9PM ET, the CW will be running back to back DC specials hosted by Kevin Smith. The first is Legends of Tomorrow: Their Time Is Now, that will go a little more in-depth as to what we can expect from and give context for the new show Legends of Tomorrow and its big bad villain Vandal Savage.  The executive producers Greg Berlanti, Marc Guggenheim, Andrew Kreisberg, Phil Klemmer & Wendy Mericle will all be in attendance to give us a really good look at the highly anticipated TV show.

At 9:30PM ET, the second special, DC Films Presents: Dawn Of The Justice League will give us more details as to what is in store for the DC movies that are coming up in the next few years. More importantly it promises to air a new trailer for Suicide Squad. Guests will be present such as Ben Affleck and Henry Cavill, Batman and Superman themselves as they discuss their movie BVS, as well as Suicide Squad and Wonder Woman.

I think this is a great idea, especially since the characters in Legends of Tomorrow are lesser known and we’ve been kept pretty in the dark about what the Justice League movies will be like.

Kevin Smith has already seen this new trailer, and he offers his thoughts on it here:

And if you somehow missed the first trailer, we’ve got that too.

So tune in to the CW on January 19th for some DC awesomeness and don’t be left behind when everyone has seen the new trailer and you haven’t.
