New Looney Tunes Cartoons Coming to HBO Max

The Snyder Cut of Justice League isn’t the only thing hitting the streaming service! Launching on May 27, HBO Max comes with dozens of Looney Tunes Cartoons, which is Warner Bros. Animation’s latest reboot of the classic cartoon characters.

80 eleven-minute episodes of Looney Tunes Cartoons were produced and will feature iconic characters like Porky Pig, Daffy Duck, Marvin the Martian, Sylvester, Tweety, Road Runner, Wile E. Coyote, and Yosemite Sam. The shorts will vary in length and feature some classic storylines adapted for today’s audiences, with Warner Bros. Animation describing the series as echoing “the high production value and process of the original Looney Tunes theatrical shorts with a cartoonist-driven approach to storytelling.” Marquee Looney Tunes characters will be featured in their classic pairings in simple, gag-driven, and visually vibrant stories.

Before the launch, WB Animation has released an exclusive sneak peek, which you can watch below, which features Bugs Bunny being pursued by Elmer Fudd with typical hilarious results, as well as Tweety Bird inadvertently playing a ghastly gag on Sylvester the Cat, and Daffy Duck having a little trouble with some chewing gum he finds on the street.

Looney Tunes Cartoons is produced by Warner Bros. Animation and features a talented group of voice cast members including Eric Bauza, Jeff Bergman, and Bob Bergen. Pete Browngardt (Uncle Grandpa) and Sam Register are serving as executive producers.
Bauza plays Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Marvin the Martian, and Tweety; Bergman voices Elmer Fudd, Sylvester, and Ralph Wolf; not to be confused with Bergen who stars as Porky Pig. Fellow veteran voice actor Fred Tatasciore plays Yosemite Sam, Gossamer, and Sam Sheepdog, with Candi Milo playing Granny and Michael Ruocco as Beaky Buzzard.

Looney Tunes Cartoons will be available to watch in their entirety when they drop on HBO Max Wednesday, May 27.
