Ben Mendelsohn Joins the Cast of Ready Player One

We haven’t heard too much about the adaptation of Ernest Cline’s Ready Player One following the news that Steven Spielberg would be directing the film. On the heels of that announcement we learned Spielberg was hoping to pull Gene Wilder out of retirement for a specific role, but nothing really solidified there.

Now we have word that Ben Mendelsohn has joined the cast as the villainous Nolan Sorrento. Mendelsohn has been impressing lately with roles in The Dark Knight Rises,  Mississipi Grind, his excellent turn on Netflix’s Bloodline, and a role in the upcoming Rogue One: A Star Wars Tale.

Marvel’s Daredevil: NetFlix Releases Teaser Trailer and Actual Premiere Date

Lawyer by day, vigilante by night.

Not only is Daredevil returning, but it looks like we’ll be heading back to Hell’s Kitchen sooner than anticipated. Originally, the assumption was that Daredevil’s second season would premiere sometime in April, much like the first season did. Then, a couple of days ago, we seemed to have “confirmation” that the show was coming on March 25th, pitted against Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice.  Now, with the release of this new teaser, it would seem the actual date is a week earlier; March 18, 2016. That’s only 10 weeks away!

As for the trailer, comic fans may get a familiar feel there from imagery compared to the books. Check it out…

Hail Skroob! Space Balls Sequel Is Announced

Mel Brooks has always been the master of satire. From classic comedy ventures like The Producers, Blazing SaddlesYoung Frankenstein and Men in Tights, he has always managed to tickle my funny bone.  But one film in particular always got the giggles out of me more than any other, because it melded my favorite movie with his comedic skills. That was Spaceballs.
