Chucky 7: The Child’s Play Franchise is Coming Back Once Again

In 2013 Don Mancini returned to his most famous character, a good guy doll possessed by the spirit of serial killer Charles Lee Ray and affectionately known as Chucky. That project; The Curse of Chucky, was the sixth film in the Child’s Play series, and now Mancini is preparing to film the seventh.

Rumors have been swirling for a couple of years about another installment, but seem to have been confirmed just recently via Twitter (like how most news breaks now);

First he dropped this back in September, which got fans salavating…

Then more recently, confirmation.

Once he confirmed it, returning cast started to chime in.  Jennifer Tilly (Bride of Chucky, Seed of Chucky, Curse of Chucky) was the first, indicating that she will make an appearance for the fourth time in the franchise, second now only to Brad Dourif, famous voice of our mischievous doll.

Shortly after, Dourif’s daughter Fiona confirmed her return as well, as she played the wheelchair-bound lead in the last film.

Nothing is known about the plot yet, but we can assume it won’t center around Chucky’s successful rehabilitation. We did find a video from 2014 by PunishedRandom with some theories about what the next movie could include – we’ll have to wait till next year to find out if this guy is a clairvoyant or not…

That’s all we have for now, but we’ll try to keep you updated on any further developments. Thanks for reading and be sure to let us know what you think in the comments or on our Facebook page!
