Game of Thrones Season 6 – New Teasers Released

HBO will soon (though not soon enough) be delivering unto us the sixth season of their smash hit Game of Thrones. And seeing as our love for the show is one of the bedrocks of this site, we were ecstatic to find our longing for Westeros has been temporarily appeased with some new teasers for the show’s upcoming return.

These new teasers, in a surprise to no one, are not overly upbeat, but rather morose in tone. It may always be sunny in Philadelphia, but that seems rarely the case in places like King’s Landing and Winterfell. Let’s have a look.

HBO’s Westworld Halts Production

HBO has temporarily halted production on its long-gestating television adaptation of Westworld, claiming that writers/executive producers Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy need more time to fine tune the final four scripts for the series’ first season.

The project is closing down for two months so that Nolan and Joy can catch up on the final four scripts. The series was originally set to premiere during the last quarter of 2015, but was pushed to an unspecified date of 2016. Now with the halted production, that premiere is looking closer to early 2017.

Rumors Confirmed; Deadwood Movie Coming to HBO

Pain or damage don’t end the world. Or despair or f–king beatings. The world ends when you’re dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man… and give some back.

It’s been near ten years since we left Deadwood. The short-lived HBO western ran for only 36 episodes, but built up a following by ways of excellent casting, and the reciting of a vulgar poetry with masterful delivery. An ensemble led by Ian McShane and Timothy Olyphant, and filled out by some of the best character actors in the industry, delivered us some of the best played scenes in television history. But average ratings, coupled with exorbitant budgets, led to a premature end to the series.

Now, nearly a decade after it went off the air, creator David Milch is returning with a movie that will hopefully give long-suffering fans a fitting finale.
