Here’s the brand, spankin’ new Comic-con trailer for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice fresh out of Hall H.
The new trailer doesn’t hold anything back, giving us major glimpses of the battles and many of the new (and returning) characters. They also seem to be addressing some complaints over Man of Steel, by positioning this movie’s narrative motivation around the cultural and critical fall-out over Superman’s God-like presence over the Earth.
Zack Snyder is no stranger to Comic-con, he has brought almost every project he’s directed to San Diego. This year was no exception as the crowd in Hall H went absolutely ballistic over the brand new footage. Many detractors of Snyder were even taken back over the sheer size of the film and it does look incredibly impressive both visually and alternatively. Time may tell as to whether or not the final film will pull off everything Snyder and crew wanted but until then just enjoy this trailer in all it’s daunting glory.
Batman v Superman has been at SDCC for the last few years now and this will be it’s last round before it’s release date on March 25, 2016.
Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice stars Henry Cavill as Superman, Ben Affleck as Bruce Wayne/Batman, Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor, Jeremy Irons as Alfred, Gal Gadot as Diana Prince/Wonder Woman and Holly Hunter in a role created for the film (Zack Snyder said he would have found anything in order to work with Hunter), with Amy Adams, Laurence Fishburne and Diane Lane all returning from Man of Steel.
The film is written by Chris Terrio, from a screenplay by David S. Goyer. Charles Roven and Deborah Snyder are producing, with Benjamin Melniker, Michael E. Uslan, Wesley Coller, David S. Goyer and Geoff Johns serving as executive producers.
