Hiya Toys Release Awesomely Designed 1:18 Scaled Alien Figures

Collectibles. We here at Grizzly Bomb love them, and as a previous collector myself I am always on the lookout for some awesome new plastic creation that (if I cannot buy), I can at least talk about at some length. So it was pretty fantastic to come across Hiya Toys, a company that specializes in small 1:18 inch figures of some characters you may recognize.

The companies brief pretty much tells you that they are ready for business, and they’re not fooling around. This can certainly be seen in the work they have produced so far.

Vice Press Delivers Tharglicious 2000 AD Art Prints

In the year 1977 a very special comic book appeared. Set in the future and focusing on a plethora of rich characters, it was the most futuristic comic kids of the time had ever seen. Named 2000 AD, this UK book soon spread all over the world, with its figurehead character Judge Dredd having not one, but two movies based on his exploits. Among the great stories, there was something else. Artwork. Amazing artwork which exploded from the pages you were reading.

Killer Klowns From Outer Space: Cult Classic Turned TV Series?

Seems one of the best ways to get dream projects going ahead now is to shy away from the cinema screen and focus on the small screen instead. Marvel removed the bad taste that was left in some comic fans mouths by redoing Daredevil as a gritty Netflix series, Westworld is getting a new lease of life on HBO, and we finally got to see Ash Williams back in action with the brilliant Ash vs the Evil Dead series.

TV stations and streaming outlets have helped to bring back many obscure and cult flicks, and proved they still had an audience. Wet Hot American Summer never stood a chance of getting a sequel made until Netflix stepped in and thank heavens they did! Could Stephen Chiodo’s Killer Klowns From Outer Space be the next in line for this kind of treatment?

VHS Vault: Sleeve Mash-Ups and Movie Cover Make Overs

VHS Wasteland and Matthew Dix Create Their Own Analog Art.

A few weeks ago The VHS Vault opened its creaky doors once more and unleashed a mass of VHS created covers by artists doing their own interpretation of what modern movies would look like today if we were still in an analogue age.

Death Race 2050; Corman Classic Getting Sequel in 2016

Frankenstein! Frankenstein the legend, Frankenstein the indestructible! Sole survivor of the titanic pile-up of ’95, only two-time winner of the Transcontinental Road Race… Frankenstein!

Now if that does not get you revved up for some late night cheesy science fiction action, then I don’t know what will! This quote is not referring to Mary Shelly’s creation; no this is another creation entirely which came from the mind of schlock film genius Roger Corman New World Pictures. His 1975 release Death Race 2000 is a must see for all fans of OTT humor and manic action scenes. If you like his recent Shark styled movies then this is the film for you.

Nintendo Power Glove Returning For The Playstation?

“Now you’re playing with power!”

Or so the kids of 1989 thought when this (then) futuristic piece of gaming tech came on the market. Featured in the film The Wizard and on the cover of Nintendo Power magazine (where even the mighty Macho Man Randy Savage had one) the Power Glove looked like it had come straight out of the year 2000, it was the ultimate tool for any Nintendo game player.
