X-Men: Apocalypse – Four Horsemen Featurette and New International Trailer

You are all my children…

Bryan Singer’s latest X-trilogy is nearing a conclusion with X-Men: Apocalypse now only seven weeks shy of its May 27 premiere. And as that date fast approaches, we don’t expect to see too much new footage beforehand. That said, the marketing team is still at work, and the new international trailer did offer a few new clips…

New X-Men Apocalypse Trailer is Pretty Badass

Alright, the new trailer is here and has successfully changed my opinion on how excited I should be for X-Men: Apocalypse. After holding out a long time, trying to convince myself that it’s gonna be great, I had been left with a lack of excitement. However, this trailer really changed my mind and I am very excited to see how this all unfolds. This trailer really highlights the action sequences that are going to take place and gives a pretty good look at everyone’s powers.

New Trailer For Tim Burton’s Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children

The new Tim Burton feature to debut this year is Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children based on the best-best selling novel of the same name by Ransom Riggs. The story revolves around a place where “peculiar” children can be themselves, or rather a place where they don’t have to hid from their peculiarities. Rick and Morty Season 3 Will Be Back THIS Year!

Yeah, you saw that right. After Mr. Poopybutthole left us with that crushing reality that Rick and Morty wouldn’t be back for at least a year and a half, it seems that he has been proven wrong as co-creator Dan Harmon told the crowd at Magic City Con that everyone’s favorite show will be back this year!

Not only will Rick and Morty be back sooner than expected, but it’ll be back with 14 SQUANCHING episodes. Yeah, you also saw that right. That’s 4 more episodes than last season and 3 more than the first. What a glorious day this is!

Gambit Removed From the 2016 Roster

Gambit has had a rough start from the get go. From fumbling around with directors to unhappy actors prior to any sort of production, Fox’s would be golden-child was looking like it may be more of a dud than anything else. However, while we have a bit more of a wait now for the Channing Tatum vehicle than before, it seems to be a blessing for the production of this film.

Gambit was originally slated to be released in the fall of this year, but has now been officially taken off the 2016 roster and is, we assume, being put on the 2017 one. Thankfully, with the success of Deadpool, Fox was able to give Gambit a bit of breathing room as production hasn’t even started for the film.

Possibility of R-rated X-Force Movie

While it was obvious to both fans, and Ryan Reynolds himself that Deadpool needed to be R-rated. It was a risk that paid off for the studio. Making an R-rated superhero movie is difficult because it eliminates a large portion of the expected audience. Of course, there will be that annoying mom who takes her 8-year-old to see  Deadpool and then complain online about how it was too sexual or violent or whatever, but that’s a rant for later.

Aside from the annoying mother, Deadpool was a huge success in its opening weekend, which is great and paves the way for more rated R superhero movies. Of course the R-rating should be used delicately. Not all superhero movies need to be rated R, but now that we’ve had one, it’s definitely worth considering. Simon Kinberg, the producer of Deadpool explains that pretty well when he spoke with Collider;
