Suicide Squad; New Trailer and Poster Amp Up Excitement

Worst. Heroes. Ever.

Last night Warner Bros. dropped the newest trailer for the upcoming Suicide Squad movie, beautifully set to Queen’s Bohemian Rhapsody, which is now stuck in my head. This trailer, which has me quite a bit more excited than the first one did, shows us little more of the team, though the exact story is still a mystery.

Confirmed Creed Sequel is Nice News to Go With Oscar Nomination

Creed was that movie that snuck up on a lot of people. It dove into a franchise that began in the 70s and hadn’t been touched in nearly a decade. The story of Apollo Creed’s illegitimate son was a definitely a new take on the Rocky franchise, and it paid off well, as the movie was well liked by audiences and highly regarded by critics. So much so, it got an Oscar nomination. That’s right! Rocky himself, Sylvester Stallone received an Oscar nomination for Best Supporting Actor.

Hilarious New Deadpool Posters and TV Spots

MAN, I LOVE DEADPOOL.

The movie hasn’t even come out yet and it’s already my favorite movie ever. Whoever is on this marketing team really deserves an award. Do they give awards for that? They should.

Here’s and example. Since Deadpool is set to release very close to Valentine’s Day, this A+ marketing team has created rom-com inspired posters for this very not rom-com movie/character, and it is pure gold.

2016 Academy Award Nominations Are Out & I’m Not…Unhappy…I Think

The 2016 Academy Award Nominations came out and unlike previous years, I’m not sure how to react. Over the years, there’s always snubs and disappointments and that comes with any awards but this year seems different. While there are still questionable decisions, it seems that, dare I say it, the Academy might have actually gotten (most of it) right.

The Revenant is the big winner (if there ever could be one) today, leading the way with 12 nominations, including Best Picture, Best Director and Best Actor. This was not a shock considering it’s been one long awards circuit gushing over the movie. That and no one tries to mess with the movie with a giant bear. Close behind is a great surprise with Mad Max: Fury Road earning 10 nominations. While it has been getting great press and was arguably the best movie of the summer, blockbusters never typically get recognized on this big of scale, especially in the Best Picture category (see: The Dark Knight). The Martian follows with seven nominations, despite director Ridley Scott not snagging one himself (more on that later). Other notables were Spotlight with six nominations and The Big Short (somewhat surprisingly in my opinion) coming in with five nominations.

Could A Hasbro/Paramount Shared Cinematic Universe Be A Reality?

It seems at the moment, in Hollywood you need a franchise if you are going to be a player in the cinematic market. Since the massive success of Marvel Studios Cinematic Universe and the financial success of the Transformers franchise, it seems Hasbro is next in looking at a shared cinematic universe.

Freddy Krueger’s Glove Appears in “Ash vs Evil Dead”

Ash vs Evil Dead has become possibly our favorite new show of the year here at Grizzly Bomb. It’s definitely my top choice this season. And it doesn’t hurt that Sam Raimi and the deadites keep finding reasons to make me love this show even more.

For those viewers with a keen eye, you might have been able to spot the glove of a certain villain who haunts the children of Elm Street during the show’s season finale.
