Star Wars Themed Special Episode of Jimmy Kimmel to Air Tonight

We’re just a little more than 3 weeks away from the long-awaited release of Star Wars The Force Awakens and in the last few weeks it seems that Disney is aiming to take over the known universe. War For The Planet of the Apes; What We Know Thus Far

The third installment of the Planet of the Apes reboot, War for the Planet of the Apes, started filming last month and director Matt Reeves tweeted out a set photo to mark the beginning of principal photography. Based on the motion capture suits worn by the actors in the shot points to them being apes, an apparent inverse of Charles Heston on the beach in Planet of the Apes back in 1968. Take a look.

Final Jessica Jones Trailer, First Luke Cage Teaser for Marvel’s NetFlix Lineup

You will know Jessica Jones. Or at least be intrigued enough to watch the new Netflix series which debuts this Friday. The publicity machine over at the streaming channel earlier this month unleashed a barrage of stills of the titular character as well as many of the series’ cast. These include allies and friends like Trish Walker (played by Rachel Taylor), and the villainous Purple Man, who’s slickly portrayed by David Tennant of Doctor Who fame.

Death Note: What We Know About the US Adaptation

That’s right, after a few years in developmental hell Warner Bros’ adaptation of the Japanese manga/anime Death Note is finally seeing some movement in Hollywood.

The original manga is an amazing read with engaging characters and a fantasy/horror/crime theme that is definitely going to be difficult to replicate on the big screen. The anime is also definitely worth checking out, though there are a few differences between the source material and animated adaptation. This also isn’t the first live-action adaptation to hit the big screens, as a Japanese-produced film opened overseas a few years ago which resulted in sequels and even spin-offs.

Batman in the DC Extended Universe: Rumors, Robins and the Red Hood

Eagle-eyed viewers in the theater way back in early 2013 might have been quick to notice a specific little easter egg in Zack Snyder’s Man of Steel, but nobody really expected that to develop further than an interesting cameo. Which easter egg? I can only be talking about the Wayne Enterprises satellite that is destroyed during Superman and Zod’s climactic Metropolis-smashing battle, which is referencing another member of DC’s Trinity of heroes.
