Dexter Season 7: Behind the Scenes With the Cast

There are about a million reasons that I am excited for the premiere of Showtime’s Dexter: Season 7. Everyone I know who is a fan of this show is sick of waiting. The way that season 6 ended left everyone with lots of questions and ideas about what is coming next. I present to you now, a behind-the-scenes video that will titillate you Dexter fans:

The first full trailer that was shown at CCI was absolutely amazing! Everything down to the music playing in the background was perfect. In the beginning of this behind-the-scenes featurette, Michael C. Hall explains that the show is always at its best when Dexter is in hot water. He then explains that season 7 is the hottest the water has ever been. Hall also goes on to mention that everyone else in the past seasons who has known Dexter’s secret has died. He’s not going to kill his sister, and she’s not just going to disappear, so how do they live with the tension?

You see Deb digging into the other parts of Dexter’s life… questioning Jamie, digging through his apartment, looking over old cases… and that is what I am most excited about. Deb is an extremely intelligent character. Her intuition, though, is not the greatest. She somehow has yet to notice any of the clues that piled up to point to Dexter’s guilt in the past. I am left to wonder if she will look back at all of the little inconsistencies in Dexter’s cover-stories, and realize that he has been hiding his true colors his whole life. Honestly, she cannot believe that this is an isolated incident. Jennifer Carpenter mentions that Deb is very powerful and could at any moment just throw cuffs on her brother and put him away. I do not believe that she will do that; Deb has broken the rules before. When Deb caught Lumen and Dexter after they killed Jordan Chase in season 5, she let “number 13 and her vigilante” go free. But this is quite a lot to try to ignore.

There’s also the Louis situation. What the hell is his angle? Why did he send the prosthetic to Dexter? Is that going to change the whole idea Deb has about Dexter? Maybe since Dex bound Travis to the Altar the same way Rudy did to Deb, owns blood slides that look exactly like the ones Doakes collected, and owns the prosthetic from the Ice Truck Killer, maybe Deb will just think that Dexter became obsessed with the killers over the years? Maybe it will help him in the long run.

I have said this a hundred time, but I feel I must say it again… I cannot wait for September 30th! Oh yeah! And we have her to look forward to!

Dexter Season 7: Showtime’s First Full Trailer!

Back in mid-July, during CCI, we showed you the first 2 minutes of the season 7 premiere (if you haven’t seen it, click here!). As if that two minutes wasn’t exciting enough, I bring you, friends of the internet, the first full trailer from Showtime!

This trailer could not have been better in any way! I have been excited about season 7. I knew that Deb has now seen Dexter kill someone. I was sure, though, that the rest would remain a secret. I was sure that she’d never find out who he really is. And now? I have no idea what is going to happen… and I love it! Also, they used one of my favorite songs of all time “Change” by Deftones. This trailer makes it seem like season 7 is going to be dark. Season 6 made me really miss Dexter’s dark passenger. It appears that they have brought him back.

CCI 2012: Sneak Peek at 2 Minutes of Dexter Season 7!

If you are anything like me, you are probably losing what’s left of your sanity awaiting the return of Dexter on Showtime. September 30th is taking forever to arrive! Well, my fellow serial-killer lovers, this should help you survive:

I have speculated many times what Deb’s reaction would be to finding Dexter, however, in none of my speculations did I ever consider the way Travis was strapped down in saran wrap might trigger a very negative reaction from Deb, who was strapped down the same way by her former fiance’/Dexter’s brother Brian. I have so many questions… and yet I feel somewhat more content after seeing this. At least I know for sure that they aren’t going to blow it off, and she does officially know he has killed…well… at least once.

Dexter season 7 premieres, of course, September 30th on Showtime.

The GrizzlyBomb 2012 Comic-Con Preview!

It is that time of the year again and it is time to revel in the wonders that is the San Diego Comic-Con 2012! One of the biggest things this year for our site is that we will actually be in attendance and representing GrizzlyBomb as we go to the biggest place where news on comics, television, movies, and video games breaks every minute from July 12th-15th and of course we will document it all. We are going to be on the show floor and I will be your guide and your way in to panels, booths, and probably pictures of the lovely booth babes so please visit as much as you can during the next week because we’re going to be knee-deep in some fun stuff.

Over the years, the panels have become some of the biggest places where announcements are made, stars have shown up, great Q&As have been done so we are going to do a preview on what we think will be some heavy hitters and must sees in San Diego.

Dexter: Season 7 – Trailer and Cast Updates!

There is a new cast member joining the Dark Defender in Season 7! Yvonne Strahovski (Chuck) will play Hannah, a woman who helps the LAPD out with a few cold cases, according to Vulture. She will be in a handful of episodes. Supposedly, her character is somewhat suspicious, and Dexter thinks she is withholding something from them. I think this may be a chance for Dexter to get a pretty blonde in his saran wrap web. Or could she be a love interest? Will she have to fight Dexter’s sister Deb for his affection? So many possibilities!

With two seasons left for Dexter to leave its mark on fans, Showtime is really putting a lot of effort into Season 7. According to Uproxx, (BE CAREFUL-SPOILERS THERE) season 7 is supposed to operate as the first part to the series’ end. We already know that Deb knows Dexter is a killer… well… at least that he’s killed once. She walked in on that.

TVGuide has an interview with Dexter Executive Producer Sara Colleton in which she explains how Deb will react to the Season 6 finale. Dexter’s secret is out, and just Deb’s luck, it came out while she was coming to terms with being IN LOVE with him. Colleton said:

If the series-long quest for Dexter was to finally have someone who really knows him — well, be careful what you wish for because Deb now knows everything and that’s a game-changer.

In regards to Deb seeing Dexter kill Travis, TV Guide asked Colleton if Deb will learn everything this season.

Yeah. Obviously this whole season we’re going to have great fun playing with every permutation that can be played between Debra and Dexter in their relationship now that this information has come out. She was on her way to the church at the end of the last season because she had come to realize that she not only loved her foster-brother Dexter but she is in love with him. So now what does she do?

For the whole interview, check out the TVGuide website.

Dexter returns to Showtime on September 30th.
