Chaos Walking Trailer: Daisy Ridley and Tom Holland Star In Long Delayed Sci-Fi Adaptation

Lionsgate has finally launched the first full trailer for Chaos Walking, the long-delayed, epic new sci-fi action movie starring Daisy Ridley and Tom Holland.

The film is based on Patrick Ness’ book Chaos Walking: The Knife of Never Letting Go, the first iteration of a trilogy set in a dystopian world where every living creature can hear each other’s thoughts.

On a colony called the New World, Todd (Tom Holland) has been brought up to believe that a pathogen has killed all women and unleashed the Noise, the ability to hear people’s and animals’ minds. Later, he comes upon a patch of silence and soon discovers the source of the silence: a mysterious woman named Viola (Daisy Ridley) – the first he has ever met. While he is hunted down by the fanatical Mayor Prentiss, they discover the secret history of their world.

Halloween Kills: Bloody New Footage Straight Out Of BlumFest!

Blumhouse Productions and Universal Pictures has revealed a new teaser for the highly-anticipated Halloween Kills showing Michael Myers’ bloody return to the screen!

Opening on the town of Haddonfield, Laurie’s voice warns that Michael Myers was back for blood, and The Shape is shown picking up his iconic mask. From there the violence escalates as Halloween Kills delivers on just that. Plenty of blood shooting out of victims as well as familiar faces such as Allyson (Andi Matichak). And none other than actress Nancy Stephens, who is playing Marion Chambers for the whopping fourth time in Halloween Kills. A hand smashes the glass on her car’s window, in a sequence highlighting her fateful encounter with Michael Myers back in 1978.

Gordon Green promised “twice the thrills and ten times the kills” during today’s Blumhouse panel, and this new 36-second look at the film is promising just that. Check it out below:

The Twentieth Century Trailer: German Expressionism Meets Canadian Midnight Madness!

Oscilloscope Labs has unveiled the US trailer for The Twentieth Century, a strange, absurd, and at times psychedelic biopic that re-imagines the formative years of the former Canadian Prime Minister William Lyon Mackenzie King as a series of abject humiliations.

Toronto, 1899. Aspiring young politician Mackenzie King (Vancouver Film Critics Circle award for Best Actor winner Dan Beirne) dreams of becoming the Prime Minister of Canada. But his romantic vacillation between a British soldier and a French nurse, exacerbated by a fetishistic obsession, may well bring about his downfall. In his quest for power, King must gratify the expectations of his imperious Mother, the hawkish fantasies of a war-mongering Governor-General, and the utopian idealism of a Québécois mystic before facing one, final test of leadership. Culminating in an epic battle between good and evil, King learns that disappointment may be the defining characteristic of the twentieth century!
