I like continuity in my serialized shows. I feel it harkens back to the comic books where everything is set in the same universe, and that you need to invest into the characters and the environment because you never know where they might pop up again. Obviously, in the Femme Fatales universe, everything is beginning to really take shape in how they tie together. We are starting to get callbacks from previous episodes or seasons and I dig it. The current episode of Jailbreak reflects that.

Cinemax’s Femme Fatales: 207 – Family Business
The apple does not fall far from the tree. In the world of Femme Fatales though, it just means that apple will fall off the tree, find some poor sap and have sex with it until she gets her way. This episode of Family Business is an interesting one as it operates as a direct sequel to an episode from the first season called Angels & Demons. You can obviously read the review by clicking here in case you need to get reacquainted but we will just assume that you read it or saw the episode and want me to get to the good stuff.

Cinemax’s Femme Fatales: 205 – Killer Instinct
We’ve seen a lot of different Femme Fatales over the course of the series, and this one is no different. She is a beautiful, seductive, highly trained assassin, who is probably bad luck to anyone she meets. This episodes starts with just such a meeting. We get to witness Davis (Mark Simich) and Lauren (Mirtha Michelle) as Davis and Lauren meet, admiring the art and each other. I was kind of hoping for a tango to break out and True Lies inspired action to unfold, but then they had sex. Which is still good.

Cinemax’s Femme Fatales: Episode 204 – Extracurricular Activities
As the sophomore season’s 4th episode begins we bear witness to sexy college professor Kelsey Williams (Sandra McCoy) in her class room, alone, at night. She is watching a slide show of what appears to be turn of the century erotic images, and erotic she does feel. By the one minute mark of the episode she has begun pleasuring herself when she is abruptly interrupted (Boooo) by a suspicious looking Security Guard. As fate would have it said night watchman explains to the good professor that there was an attack on campus earlier, and though the young coed escaped, her attacker remains still un-apprehended. For what is surely her safety, he proceeds to relay the description to the attacker to Ms. Williams.

Cinemax’s Femme Fatales: 203 – Trophy Wife
Trophy Wife is the classic story of a rich housewife, her cheating husband, and the hitman she hires to widow her. In this case the hitman is a dirty ex-cop named Darby (Chris Mulkey – First Blood!!!), and the housewife Veronica (Leilani Sarelle AKA Roxy from Basic Instinct) is very specific about how the job has to be done. The episode opens in a strip club, which is obviously the best place to pick up a hitman. I’ll file that away for future notice.
