Batman Live: World Arena Tour Revealed…

Now it seems like ages ago when I first reported on Batman Live, the arena event that brings Batman and friends to your neighborhood. Most people were definitely put off by this announcement, especially during all the problems the musical Spider-Man: Turn Off The Dark was experiencing.

Of course the major difference is that Batman Live: World Arena Tour is NOT a musical. It’s more of a stage show to be enjoyed by the whole family. Still, it’s hard to see Batman on stage in a family friendly experience. Regardless, let’s take a look at the characters being featured, and the costumes.

It’s like the love child of ‘Batman Forever’ and ‘Batman and Robin’

Okay, so they could all be worse. Keep in mind that they are amped up in order to stand out in the large dark arenas, and to appeal to the kiddies. I just previously reviewed Batman and Robin Volume 1, which is basically the adventures of the newest Batman: Dick Grayson and his sidekick Robin: Now the young, and mouthy Damian Wayne. I loved that trade even when I hadn’t yet seen when Damian Wayne first showed up on the scene. But now I finally am after reading Batman and Son.

Grizzly Graphic Novel Review – Batman and Robin Vol. 1: Batman Reborn

In danger of sounding cliché’, I’m going to say it anyways: Grant Morrison has done it yet again.

He has time after time redefined comic titles, whether it be the X-men, Superman or Batman. He did it with Bruce Wayne, and now he gets a chance to do it with the newest Batman, Dick Grayson.

Gotham’s 20 Best Villains: #1

1. The JokerBatman #1 (Spring 1940)

And in a complete and utter shock to absolutely NO-ONE, The Joker tops my list. Sorry for the lack of surprise here gang, but there is a reason he’s the obvious choice. He is, plain and simple, Batman’s nemesis.
