Grizzly Spotlight: Donald Glover

I’m sure all of you have been checking in every week to see who is the latest to be featured as a Grizzly Girl, I know I have. But I figured why stop there? Now, that doesn’t mean I’m about to start showing you a bunch of pics of shirtless guys or anything, I’ll leave that up to the femme fatales on staff here at GB. But I do want to bring you some of the celebs or up and comers out there that deserve their time to shine. Which brings us to Grizzly Spotlight.

For the debut of Spotlight we’ll be showcasing Donald Glover. Comedian, Actor, Writer, Rapper, DJ, the list keeps going. You may recognize him from his stint on Community as Troy, or even further back with his part on the Derrick Comedy team. What you may not know is he was a staff writer for 30 Rock, as well as a rising Hip-Hop star known as ‘Childish Gambino’. We’ll cover all of this here.

NBC’s “Community” Season 3 – John Goodman and Michael K. Williams

For me, there are only 3 shows that can vie for the title of “Funniest Show on Network TV” – ABC’s Modern Family, and then NBC shows Parks and Rec and Community. Lucky for me these 3 shows are not in direct competition. Modern Family owns its Wednesday night spot, and Parks and Rec finally got some attention in its 3rd season. Community, which is actually my favorite of the 3, is constantly overshadowed in the weekly ratings race by CBS’s cookie-cutter sitcom Big Bang Theory. Disgusting.

This is the banner the cast was welcomed back to at the start of the 3rd Season Shoot.

And for something that isn’t disgusting though, here is Alison Brie and Gillian Jacobs

ANYWAY…

The news of the day is casting additions for the 3rd season. Namely – John Goodman and http://www.imdb.com

Best month in TV ever??

I’m sure by now everyone has heard about that train wreck Charlie Sheen, and his firing from Dr Kronner’s favorite show Two and a Half Men, placing said show, and its future in limbo. Hopefully it never recovers and is lost forever.

While Charlie Sheen was “winning”, and getting paid close to two million per episode of complete crap, NBC had yet to renew two of television’s best shows. As of Wednesday, the fate of Parks and Recreation and Community were still up in the air, as both shows had yet to be renewed for next season.

Yesterday however, NBC pulled their heads out of their Peacock’s ass, and green lit another season of life for some of the only network shows worth watching. Let’s hope these shows find some better ratings next season.

So in the last month, Two and A Half Men has become doomed, and now NBC has renewed their 2 most under rated shows. That’s good stuff. Now here’s hoping that reality TV suddenly explodes as well.

Also in case anyone cares it looks as though Outsourced and Perfect Couples weren’t so lucky. With any luck they replace one of those with a spin-off about Ron Swanson, Ahbed, and Troy spin-off, where Ron becomes their butler like on Seinfeld‘s show within the show…

Charlie Sheen in One and a Half Men…and a Trainwreck

“I said stay off the crack, and I still think that’s pretty good advice, unless you can manage it socially. If you can manage it socially, then go for it, but not a lot of people can, you know?”

There you go America. That’s the star of your “#1 Show on Television”.  I am in no way surprised that the star of TWO AND A HALF MEN, which I consider to be the worst scripted show on television, (though I’m sure MTV probably has something that could compete for the title) is a self promoting crack-head.
